Updates to Tecton’s Airflow provider
We have made a fork of our airflow-tecton repository to a new one, airflow-provider-tecton for two main reasons, both of which are cosmetic.
- airflow-provider-tecton matches the naming conventions of other Airflow providers, which has allowed us to host the provider on Astronomer’s provider registry for increased discoverability and usability.
- airflow-tecton had some Airflow Operators with the word “trigger” in their title, which have been renamed to avoid confusion with Airflow 2.x’s concept of triggers.
airflow-tecton will continue to function as expected and there is no immediate need to migrate. However, we suggest migrating as new Tecton Airflow functionality will only be added to airflow-provider-tecton in the future. We will be sure to keep you updated and would love your feedback if you decide to try it out!
You can find the renamed provider in Astronomer’s Provider registry and more information about the provider in our blog post.
If you have any questions about Tecton or Airflow, please let us know. Thanks again for using Tecton!
