Data Quality Validations

We’re excited to announce the Public Preview release of Data Quality Validations. Validations enable Tecton users to automatically validate that your feature views continue to produce quality data.

Earlier this year, Tecton released Data Quality Metrics, which automatically calculates statistics about the features materialized in you Feature Views. Data Quality Validations builds on these metrics by alerting when certain conditions, known as expectations, have failed. Tecton will automatically apply a set of default expectations to Feature Views with materialization enabled.

Current Tecton users may start to receive alert emails for existing Feature Views that are failing validations. We recommend first verifying that your Feature View is indeed behaving as expected, and if so you can disable these alerts.

Check out this video to see Data Quality Validations in action.
